Calm. Clear. Coordinated.
Confident.
VENGUARD helps SMEs and local venues prepare for Martyn's Law with simple staff alerts, public QR/NFC access, incident workflows and practical records, starting with the Wi-Fi and smartphones they already have.
Martyn's Law is coming. VENGUARD helps make preparedness manageable.
The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act — known as Martyn's Law — creates new duties for qualifying premises and events to improve preparedness for terrorism and security incidents. For many venues that means clearer procedures, trained staff, documented actions and a practical way to evidence readiness.
Qualifying publicly accessible premises with capacity of 200 or more should plan for clear procedures and prepared staff.
Larger qualifying venues are expected to consider additional measures, documentation and coordination arrangements.
Every venue benefits from a calm, competent, well-rehearsed response — whatever its size.
Everything you need to respond — in one place
VENGUARD connects your controller, your staff and your visitors so that when something happens, everyone moves together.
Controller dashboard
A nominated competent person manages any incident in real time — triggering the right response and seeing the whole picture from one screen.
Staff response network
Your team gets alerts and clear tasks instantly on their own phones through a secure web app. No new devices to learn.
Public tap & scan
Visitors tap an NFC plate or scan a QR code for emergency information, evacuation routes, or to report a concern discreetly.
Real incident workflows
Built-in Evacuate, Invacuate, Lockdown, Medical and All-Clear workflows guide everyone through exactly what to do.
Readiness audit trail
Alerts, actions and messages can be recorded to support preparedness evidence, internal review and post-incident learning.
Resilient by design
Designed to support SMS fallback, local resilience and multi-language messaging as the pilot architecture matures.
Built for responsible venue operators
VENGUARD is being developed as a practical support system for preparedness, coordination and records, not as a substitute for professional advice or emergency services.
Planned AWS-hosted architecture, role-based access, encrypted connections and audit logging for core actions.
Designed to support GDPR-conscious data minimisation, retention controls and clear privacy notices.
Workflows are shaped around real incident coordination, staff roles, clear instructions and post-incident learning.
VENGUARD helps coordinate venue response, but does not replace calling 999, police guidance or local emergency plans.
Detect. Protect. Respond.
Three simple stages — the same three words on every VENGUARD plate, screen and badge.
A concern is raised
A staff member, a member of the public, or the controller spots something. VENGUARD captures it instantly and routes it to the right person.
Everyone moves together
Visitors are guided to safety, your team stays coordinated, and key steps are recorded to support review and preparedness evidence.
The right workflow triggers
The controller starts the appropriate response. Staff phones and any displays update at once with clear, consistent instructions.
Clear alerts for every situation
One consistent visual language across phones, staff devices and optional displays — so there's never any doubt about what to do.
Leave the building via the nearest exit and follow staff instructions.
Medical assistance required. Remain calm and keep access clear.
Secure yourself away from doors and windows until told otherwise.
Move to the nearest safe area inside the building and wait.
The incident is over. It is safe to resume normal activity.
The old way vs the VENGUARD way
Why spend a year on a hardware project when your existing Wi-Fi and your team's smartphones can form the starting point?
Runs on what you already have
VENGUARD is built around minimal infrastructure. A typical venue goes live without a capital project — and without proprietary kit on every wall.
The VENGUARD Beacon range
For venues that want dedicated, always-on alert displays, the Beacon range scales from discreet Micro Beacons to a 55" IP65-rated outdoor Enterprise unit — all speaking the same alert language, with battery backup and audible & visual alerts.
Calm, clear, coordinated
When something happens, the same instruction appears on every screen, every staff phone and every public touchpoint — at the same moment. No confusion. No conflicting messages. Just a single, calm response.
Designed for everyday venues
Practical safety for the places that make up our towns and communities — at Standard tier, Enhanced tier, or simply meeting a duty of care.
Be part of the first rollout
VENGUARD's structured pilot launches in July 2026 at two established Grimsby and Cleethorpes venues — a real-world, four-week trial across live events and everyday operation.
Once feedback is in and any issues are ironed out, we begin a structured rollout to priority venues across North-East Lincolnshire.
Registering your interest now puts your venue in the priority group — with early-adopter onboarding support and preferential terms.
Pilot venues can add the one-day training programme at any point during or after the trial — price on application.

- Confused staff communication
- Delayed incident response
- Loss of customer confidence
- Potential cancellations and downtime
- Limited accountability and audit evidence
WITH VENGUARD
- Coordinated multi‑channel alerts
- Structured operational response
- Improved staff coordination
- Support for business continuity
- Documented response visibility

Practical safety — not surveillance
VENGUARD is a practical operational safety platform, built in North-East Lincolnshire for the kinds of venues that make up our towns and communities. It is not a surveillance system or a predictive-policing tool. It exists to help ordinary venues — halls, clubs, hotels, leisure centres and theatres — coordinate a calm, competent response and meet their duty of care.

Does Martyn's Law actually apply to my venue? +
If your premises or event is open to the public and can hold 200 or more people, you are likely to have duties under the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act. VENGUARD is designed to help both Standard tier (200+) and Enhanced tier (800+) venues — and is genuinely useful for smaller venues meeting general duty-of-care expectations.
Do we have to buy special hardware? +
No. VENGUARD runs on your existing Wi-Fi and your staff's own smartphones, plus a controller tablet or laptop and a few low-cost QR/NFC plates. Dedicated displays and the Beacon range are entirely optional extras.
How much does it cost? +
VENGUARD is planned as a simple monthly subscription, indicatively from £79/month for software pilot access at a single venue, scaling to Core+ and Enterprise tiers for larger or multi-site operators. Hardware, SMS usage, setup and enhanced training may be priced separately.
How long does setup take? +
Because the starting point is lightweight, most venues should be able to configure the core system and brief staff quickly. Onboarding support, enhanced training and tabletop exercises are available as add-ons.
What does the one-day training programme cover? +
The training is an optional add-on, entirely separate from the SaaS subscription. It is a one-day, in-venue, civilian behavioural-confidence course built around DETECT → PROTECT → RESPOND. The day covers five grouped scenario families (Suspicious & Escalating · Protective Actions · Violent Incidents · Medical & Welfare · Fire & Escalation), a VENGUARD workflow demonstration, awareness-level medical / PAcT familiarisation, a tabletop exercise and a live in-venue practical with hot After Action Review. Every delegate leaves with a certificate and the venue receives a records log for evidence. See the Training section above for details. Price on application.
Is our data secure? +
Incident data is logged in the cloud with a clear audit trail, built specifically for compliance evidence and post-incident review. VENGUARD coordinates response — it does not monitor or track people.
When can we get it? +
The structured pilot runs in July 2026, with a phased rollout to priority venues from autumn 2026. Registering your interest now puts your venue in the priority group for that rollout.
